Policy Statement

Research activities of the PIDTC are intended to contribute knowledge to the field of Primary Immune Deficiency (PID) and its treatment. Definitive contributions are made through publications in peer-reviewed literature. Abstracts, public presentations, electronic postings, press releases and data sharing also contribute to public knowledge, but do not substitute for peer-reviewed publications and are given less scrutiny.
 

The PIDTC will comply with NIH public access policies including submission of study results and final manuscripts (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, Pub Med Central). The PIDTC will comply with all journal requirements (e.g. modified copyright transfer agreements, disclaimers) as relates to NIH/NIAID policy.
Types of PIDTC papers will include:

  • Primary report of data

  • Report of secondary analyses

  • Report of unplanned analyses from one or more studies

  • Report of technical or administrative committees issues or analyses

  • Reviews concerning PIDTC protocols and data from multiple primary reports

  • Reports of facilitated collaborative efforts with other investigators/groups
